The Mole and National Cinema Museum

Today I woke up to the news that Hailey had gotten sick and Mom wasn't feeling well. We tried to make things better but we eventually left the house. We (Julie, Griffin, and I) started by walking just down the street to our nearest bakery. We got some little cookie things and set off for the Mole. When we got to the entrance we headed onto the main floor of the museum. The museum starts with the very first concept of pictures or film with shadow puppets. We then moved on to the section with early film, with flipbooks, fast moving images, and then Edison's projectors. After the projectors we saw some memorabilia from famous films, along with photos. Then, we went to the area with costumes and special effects. We saw some masks from Star Wars, which made Griffin really happy. Then we went further and saw Robo Cop's suit (far right of the top pic). After that we saw the large dome area (below Star Wars), and saw a huge space filled with sets to walkthrough. There was a ramp up the dome, but it didn't go anywhere. We checked out the scenes, most of which I did not recognize, they were still kinda cool though. After that we went downstairs to go do the lift to the top.  (the view looking up from the lift is below) We saw the city from up high. Our street, Pallazo Reale, via Po, the Po river, all of it. (beside mole pic is the olympic stadium). We came down from the top and then went to the gift shop and restroom before leaving. When we left we had some more of our bakery snacks. After that we had just enough time to get to the local market before it closed, we got some meat, cheese, and bread. We come home and had lunch (even though it was almost two) Then the maid came to clean the house, she vacuumed, cleaned, and changed our sheets. She was very nice and did her best to understand us. We played some card games and made sure Hailey and Mom were doing okay and then settled down a bit. It was a fun day, for us at least. I'll post again soon.
